In honor of the 35th Anniversary of the cute-as-a-button childhood favorite
Care Bears, the awesomely delicious
Sprinkles Cupcakes has teamed up with these lovable bears for limited edition Care Bear-themed cupcakes in stores until January 25th.

The other night, the Mister and I celebrated this collaboration at Sprinkles store on the Upper East Side where we got an up close and personal look at the final product and even got to make own Care Bear x Sprinkles cupcakes!

When we arrived. the party was already in full swing. Members of the press and their guests were snapping photos, chatting happily and of course, sampling the cupcakes!

With a few naked cupcakes, icing and decorations, I was ready to design away!

I tried my best to make a decent looking cupcake (mine is on the left, the professional one is on the right), but alas - I should probably leave the cupcake making for the experts :(.

Make sure to follow both the
Care Bears and
Sprinkles Instagram pages as they will reveal "whisper words" weekly, If you go to the store and say these "whisper words," you will get all sorts of fun and (likely delicious) treats. Furthermore, Sprinkles will celebrate National Hug Day on January 21st with "product giveaways and cheerful activities" so make sure to stop by and grab yourself a sweet treat!
