Getting’ Spic and Span with Maid Service From MyClean.com NYC

By: Finance Foodie

Living in New York City, a place with a million and one things going on at once, the last thing I ever want to waste time with is cleaning my apartment. However, being deathly afraid of rats/bugs/infestations that come from a dirty living condition, I begrudgedly take my mop and dustpan every month and “wipe down” for a few hours…

Until this month, when myclean.com contacted me and asked if I wanted to try their NYC area maid services. According to their website, MyClean is “a residential and commercial cleaning service founded by New Yorkers who discovered how hard it was to find a professional apartment cleaning in NYC.” Everything is done online from their easy to navigate website – from getting instant price quotes to scheduling/paying for services to leaving specific cleaning instructions for the maid.

Feeling intrigued, I decided to schedule a clean for this past weekend for 11am. At 10:45am, my designated maid Althea showed up with a big smile and a cheery hello. She asked if I had any special requests (I said no) and she got right down to business. After 2 hours, I returned home and everything was sparkling! The bed was neatly made, the floors were dust free and the apartment smelled so fresh and so clean (they even put their “seal of approval” on the toilet after they scrub it). Don’t believe me? Well, here are some photos post clean.

This was my first time using a cleaning service and I was very impressed. I would absolutely use MyClean's services again (and as my readers, if you used the code "Foodie", myclean.com will take $30 off your first cleaning *New customers only.). So here’s to having a few extra hours every month now – thanks myclean.com!

Full Disclosure: I received a free cleaning from MyClean.com as part of my relationship with the Quality Blue Community.  All opinions expressed are my own.
