The parties during
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week this season were fantastic and in full swing again (do people really go to the shows anymore?) Team Finance Foodie doesn't sleep so we can bring you all the deets - so without further ado, let's take a look at some of the festivities we hit up during the week!

First and most fabulous, Benefit Cosmetics held a super-fashionable bash called the
Joint The Realvolution Party at the Thompson Hotels’ 60A Rooftop Lounge to launch their
They’re Real! Mascara. Celebs in attendance included Ashley Tisdale, Joan and Melissa Rivers (critiquing anyone who wanted their ensemble fully analyzed), and John Legend with his wife, model Chrissy Teigen. Guests were filmed for an upcoming segment of E! Fashion Police.

The Accessories Council threw a breakfast at 91 Horatio Street that featured a Q&A with Jill Zarin,
Real Housewife of NYC and jewelry designer who always is featured in several shows and lounges at Fashion Week. Dolcevita Cashmere was also on hand to wow editors with their insane quality Italian cashmere items.

The Nolcha Fashion Week suite sponsored by Rusk, Vitamin Water and several other popular brands was fun not only because visitors got to try vegan fare from the Yotel (where the event took place) and every visitor got a personal consultation of what Rusk hair products are right for them. Colgate Optic White Beauty Bar was a fun lounge at the Ziba Salon, where tired show hopping editors were treated to manis, massages, makeup, and cocktails with colorful popsicles in them!

The GBK Lounge in the Empire Hotel boasted the most celebrities (Kelly Osbourne always hits this one) and brands for editors to peruse included Oprah favorite Bella’s Berries Compote, Hard Candy Cosmetics, Pilot Pens, Viva Diva Wines by Christina Milian, Tibolli Haircare, Lashem products for brows and eyelashes, Wild Soul Sunglasses and Lula Avenue Jewelry. Guests were greeted by Philadelphia Eagles cheerleaders.

Up a few floors in the Empire was the Proctor & Gamble lounge where bloggers and VIPS were able to get Cover Girl makeovers and manis, plus hair touchups done with Pantene products. Birchbox gave manis, blowouts and makeovers using products that have gone out in their famous monthly boxes. At No. 8, the former site of Bungalow Eight made famous on Sex & The City, the New York Fashion Week S/S14 Beauty Bar & Media Lounge included our favorite coffee drinks from Corse Coffee in the Paramount Hotel, manis sponsored by Manicube and hand treatments from Epicuren technicians. At the Techstyle Lounge on top of Bumble & Bumble, editors got to check out the new Shadoobie app for fashionistas, drink Herbal Martinis, and sample Pour Le Monde fragrances.

Guerlain had a special bloggers event in their grand spa on top of the Waldorf Towers. They were there to pitch bloggers not only Guerlain’s new anti-aging products but the new treatments at the spa including Abeille Royale (Youth Facial Treatment), Micro Current (Lift And Tone Treatment, the Microdermabrasion Facial and Slim And Trim Body Treatment. The big surprise of the night came when we were escorted to the Waldorf Rooftop not only to take in the fragrance herb gardens so carefully labeled in individual wooden boxes but beehives. Guests of the spa can now purchase the Waldorf honey and some skin treatments include it! Guests were treated to pale yellow vodka cocktails made with it as well!

There were both Margo Manhattan Jewelry and Faces Of Beauty Fashion Week parties held last week in the lovely space at 25 Central Park West that once housed the neighborhood Gristede’s. Both events were well-attended. Many socialites chatted with Margo about her stunning pieces (several featuring Celtic crosses with various gems) and we think she moved quite a few pieces of her precious jewelry that night. At Faces Of Beauty, plastic surgery patientss of Upper East Side celebrity doctor Dr. Ramtin Kassir strutted their new body parts (as well as high fashion garb) and were lookin’ good! (Yes, their before and after pictures were shown in the background on a large screen!)
