Just in time for fall, the savory new Cheddar Bacon Onion Sandwich (CBO), has just joined the McDonald’s menu in restaurants nationwide. The Cheddar Bacon Onion is available to order as an Angus Burger or as a grilled or crispy Premium Chicken Sandwich! Whatever your CBO meat preference is, each sandwich is stacked with two slices of white cheddar cheese and caramelized grilled onions, and combined with hickory-smoked bacon and topped with a creamy mustard sauce. Even though I'm technically on a "low carb" diet in anticipation of a foodie heavy Thanksgiving break with the family (Asians get-togethers = pig-out fests), I had to take a cheat day to try these three sandwiches out....

At 790 calories a serving, the Angus CBO Burger surely packs a punch - both to the stomach and heart. This was my least favorite out of the bunch - not only did I feel guilty about the indulgence, but the patty was pretty dry and the "bakery style" bun a bit too firm. I liked the sweetness brought out by the caramelized grilled onions, but that was not enough to save the sandwich. Next.
