We were lucky enough to score an invite to the Tela Design Studio’s BLOW OUT! Breakfast at the Tela Studio in Manhattan’s famous Meatpacking District. Philip Pelusi, CEO and founder of
Tela Beauty Organics (and, of course, the Tela Design Studio) demonstrated BLOW OUT!, the world's first 85% USDA Certified Organic Keratin smoothing treatment. Phillip, a 46-year veteran of the hair salon business, tells us, “BLOW OUT! contains no formaldehyde, no aldehydes, no harsh chemicals, no irritating fumes or odors, and is sulfate and paraben-free with an allergen-free fragrance.” He adds that the product would have been 100 percent organic if it was not for the preserver that had to be added to give the product a good shelf life.
Philip provided members of the press master advise on how to optimize shine, health and manageability for all curly, frizzy & uniquely textured hair types. Interestingly enough, Philip and his team’s model for the event was Stacey Kessler of Ridgewood, NJ, who was on a recent episode of Bravo's
The Millionaire Matchmaker.
Poor Stacey got lambasted by Patti Stanger for showing her date footage of her successful modeling career and all we have to say about that is hey, we do not think that Patti would yell at a male client for showing off his house or car collection on a date! Anyways, Stacey’s curly black locks were instantly tamed with BLOW OUT! -- even before any of Philip’s talented team took to blow-drying her hair. Stacey had actually put BLOW OUT! on the left side of her hair a day or two previously, let it dry naturally, and came in with a half curly, half straight head of hair. We media folks were all impressed, needless to say!
