Victoria's Secret's "Sexy Little Bridal Shower" -- A Fun And Fabulous Launch with VS Angel Lily Aldridge!

Financefoodie.com was lucky enough to attend Victoria’s Secret “Sexy Little Bridal Shower” event back last week at the 722 Lexington store just a stone’s throw from Bloomingdale’s. Victoria’s Secret model Lily Aldridge was on hand wearing a silver beaded and embroidered white nightgown from the new Sexy Little Bridal Collection, which was being launched that night, and the 100 plus brides and their attendants lined up around the corner to meet her, have a photo op, shop and party.

The first 25 brides in the door got a gift bag that included the new fresh and fruity Dream Angels Forever fragrance and a Sexy Little Bride logo tank. Everyone got to imbibe on treats from Billy's Bakery -- the fancy giant white flowered cupcakes that are available as wedding favors from Billy's were oh-so-appropo for this event. The Sexy Little Bridal Collection lingerie seemed to be placed strategically on the mannequins at the front of the store and advisors were there to help brides plan honeymoon lingerie and to pick proper undergarments for wedding and bridesmaids gowns.

But the best part of the night for customers? Obviously the custom bridal makeovers with VS cosmetics. Participants in this event got to choose from five different styles of makeovers ranging from Sexy to Glamorous to Bohemian (PS even if you weren't a bride, you could still get a makeover). We personally found that the makeup artists (many of whom work the runway shows for Fashion Week) were great for finding a shade of red lipstick that works for everyone--and as you know, red lips is the makeup trend for spring.

The Victoria's Secret people know how to throw a good event--and you can bet there was a lot of celebratory bubbly floating throughout the store. What was the big seller of this party? We noticed a lot of the brides-to-be were purchasing the new VS Gorgeous bra--which can be worn as a low-back bra or halter and the Very Sexy low-back bra (that name speaks for itself). And of course, there were the Sexy Little Bride logo thong panties, lingerie bags, garters and sleep masks flying off the shelves! We hope that some of the brides racing around the VS store will get a little rest once the big day is over--we could feel a lot of the girls' tension but the employees at the store did all they could to make the bridal/bridal party makeovers/undergarment fittings fun for all!
