This week, I want to share with you another one of my "meal-ious snacks" (definition: a snack that feels like a meal but contains an appropriate snack-level calorie count) that helped me in my weight loss goal this week was a semi-homemade invention I liked to call the Tuna Sandwich Snacker. Using the Alexia Foccacia bread (sent to me by Foodbuzz) and the Tonnino Oregano Tuna (sent to me by Tonnino), I made a super simple to make snack-sized sandwich that tasted like another lunch! And the best part? Only 200 calories per sandwich -- now that's something I can chew on (and swallow)!
FF's Tuna Sandwich Snacker
Calories: 200 / sandwich

My favorite is tuna and crackers. It was always a treat when I was growing up and I still love it. Take some saltines, put a layer of mayonnaise on each, and top with tuna. Delicious! It does, however, have the unfortunate side effect of attracting an attentive audience of cats.
ReplyDeleteI love a good tuna fish sandwich with slices of bread & butter pickles on top. dwelchert@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI love a good tuna melt I use chipotle mayo(made from olive oil mayo) mixed in with my tuna I like aflavorful aged cheddar and a crust sour dough bread. My husband likes his tuna on a salad--carbs aren't his friends so he can't have bread. I usually use an organic baby spinach (from trader joes)dress the spinach with a spicy Italian dressing then add a sliced hard boiled egg, some avocado, a little blue cheese then drain the tuna and place it on top ---he loves it.

I love tuna tossed in a pasta salad.
ReplyDeleteTuna is one of my favorite foods because it's so good and it's very convenient to eat straight from the jar or with rice or as a sandwich. I love to eat tuna with a fresh salad. The tuna give the salad a lot of flavor so that I don't even need to use dressing.
