“Baila la calle de noche...”

Hola readers! Pardon the multiple languages in the post, but I am in the process of prepping for my escape to sunny Nicaragua, as the New England winter doldrums have left me paler than Edward Cullen. Besides practicing my Espanol and dusting off my sombrero, I’ve also been eating healthier and working out more - there will be no heavy coats and sweaters to hide the winter flabbies in 90 degree F temps!

In regards to “eating healthier”, the mere mention of those two words immediately spring up visions of dry chicken breasts and steamed bland veggies – a Nightmare on Elm Street for a food lover like me! Luckily, the geniuses at the food companies around the world have become more proactive in creating yummy but healthy food items for those of us who want to have our cake and eat it too.

One said product I have discovered recently is the new Greek yogurt line from Yoplait. I had a chance to taste test the Strawberry and Blueberry flavors when Yoplait (via my blog spark) sent me some samples in the mail a few weeks ago. Each 130 calorie cup contains 12 grams of protein – which left me feeling full much longer than my usual morning jelly donut – and was surprisingly rich, creamy, and most importantly, flavorful.

Will I always prefer my calorific and deathly sweet jelly donut for breakfast? - heck yeah. But is it nice to know there is a tasty and satisfying alternative out there for the days I feel like being healthy? – double heck yeah!
